apphausdesign.com was founded by a mom who when shown the light by her one year old’s reaction to iPhone interactivity, knew she had found her calling!
Six months later a passion for her children, learning and love of fun has led Beth-Anne Quinn into the wild west world of ebooks and mobile devices with the launch in December 2010 of Apphaus’ first book series for iPad & iPhone, The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu(ages 3 to 8).
Stay tuned for an educational Monsters Love to Learn book series aimed at infants & preschoolers and a merging of two mediums; a short film/book called JACK (calling all cat lovers!).

Top 10 reasons you should read your child an original interactive digital book:
The day Beth-Anne Quinn realized her one year old son was as mesmerized as she was by the touch capabilities of her iPhone she knew she’d found her calling.
The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu is the brainchild of Beth-Anne Quinn, story creator, president and CEO of Apphaus Design Inc. Beth-Anne co-owned a modern furniture store with operations in Vancouver and Calgary, between 1998 and 2007 but decided it was time to shake things up!
In the short span of three years, beginning in 2007, Beth-Anne plunged into a new life. Today she lives in sin with her man, and has two beautiful toddlers, Hayden and Christian. In 2009 the family moved from Vancouver to Beth-Anne’s hometown of Toronto so they could be closer to the family posse of grandparents, cousins, and everyone’s beloved pets.
Ever the passionate dog lover, she’s mothered dogs of all breeds, sizes and temperaments since childhood, and has owned Mabel the elegant, if clumsy Great Dane since 2006 and her temperamental Wheaton Terrier, Lulu since 1999 (yes, they really are real dogs).
Beth-Anne originally considered publishing The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu the old fashioned way as a stylishly illustrated children’s book and she even entertained interest from publishers. But she soon saw the light - the age of digital publishing was coming! As a savvy trend forecaster Beth-Anne recognized a dearth of creative, educational and entertaining apps for children on the market, and she knew The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu could really fill a niche. The revolutionary concept of interactivity and digital portability in a children's picture book required she seize the day.
By going direct to digital, The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu reaches more people, in more ways, and positions Beth-Anne as a pioneer in the world of children’s ePublishing.
The Real Life Adventures of Mabel & Lulu is the first installment of five in the eBook series and is AppHaus Design's debut application. Central to the Apphaus vision is design activism. All Apphaus applications are apps that gives back. A portion of all proceeds from the Mabel & Lulu series will go to the Mabel & Lulu Spay and Neuter Fund. Beth-Anne's vision is to create a mobile spay and neuter clinic committed to offering free veterinary services to underprivileged communities throughout Canada and supporting like-minded organizations in the US and abroad. It’s all about real dogs, real stories, and real help to ease the burden placed on shelters throughout North America.
Beth-Anne has a masters in The History of Art from University College Dublin in Ireland which she likes to think will come in handy someday. Probably not.
